This no-nonsense, state-of-the-art site is updated frequently and is the best we have ever seen. With the most up-to-date government and police auctions, and tax sales, the largest auction database available and excellent customer service you just can't go wrong with Government Auctions.
Legitimacy - Just looking at their home page we see they've been featured on CNBC, CBS News, Barrons, and others. There was even a video posted of their CNBC feature. We watched the video - it was NOT a commercial. The company CEO was interviewed on a business show as an expert on buying real estate at auction.
Listings - More listings = good; fewer listings = bad. We counted over 2000 agencies and more than 150,000 foreclosure listings, plus FEMA, GSA, and many federal government land sales. Afterall, you're trying to make or save money, you want the largest number of choices. These guys have it.
Pre-foreclosures - A hidden gem; many pre-foreclosure home listings! This is where you can really do well buying houses, before the foreclosures are listed by every real estate agent on the planet.
Contact info - Too many of the auction sites don't provide contact info; again, these guys get it right. Almost every listing has direct contact info: name address, phone number, etc.
Bonus - With purchase using any link on this page they are also providing a voucher worth more $400 for a 3 day stay in one of any 60 Resorts in the US, Mexico and Hawaii (not a time share promotion or anything like that), and a free 'Save Money on Gas Report'. We grabbed ours and had a great Resort mini-vacation. This alone paid for our membership many times over.
Price: FREE GovernmentAuctions.org Limited Time Membership
Even if you cancel your membership, and pay nothing, keep the $400 Resort Voucher, Save Gas Report and these included Bonuses worth over $100.
Government Auctions did not engage in any of the shady or questionable practices we've seen on many of the sites. No automatic re-billing, and no "hidden" charges.
